President / Managing Partner

Before founding FRR, Matt was deeply involved in the racing world. He is a graduate of the Amplify Horse Racing Mentorship Program, learned how young horses are developed working at a training facility in Florida, and has developed relationships within the industry over the past six years. He’s a graduate of Clemson University and holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Entrepreneurship.

Matt will oversee all decisions as it pertains to the acquisition & sale of horses for this group.

Vice President / Managing Partner

Brian has been a managing partner since the inception of FRR. Brian’s been around racehorses since a young age, entering his first winner’s circle at eight years old.

He played Division 1 lacrosse & received a degree in Civil Engineering at Hartford University. Brian leads the marketing and communications for the group.

Managing Partner

Nick has held roles working for tracks in New York and has spent his whole life attending races at the NY-based racetracks. He holds his Bachelor’s in Accounting & MBA in Accounting from St. John’s University, as well as an Advanced Certificate in Business Education from Hofstra University.

He will lead the due diligence process for the NY-based claiming string.

Whether he’s prepping a young prospect for their debut or bringing a veteran claimer back to form, Thomas approaches each day with the same goal: give the horse every chance to succeed and bring his team to the winner’s circle. Under his leadership, First Rodeo Racing continues to grow its presence at major circuits like Churchill Downs, Keeneland, and Turfway Park.

With decades of experience on the New York racing circuit, John Toscano brings steady leadership and deep industry knowledge to First Rodeo Racing’s New York division. Based at Belmont Park and Aqueduct, John is known for his patience, sharp instincts, and consistent results. A respected horseman with a strong foundation in both conditioning and race placement, he ensures every horse under his care is primed to perform. His long-standing reputation and dedication to the craft make him an invaluable part of the FRR team.

Leading First Rodeo Racing’s New Jersey division, Panagiotis Synnefias brings sharp horsemanship, tireless work ethic, and a deep understanding of his horses to every race. Based primarily at Monmouth Park, Panagiotis is known for his hands-on approach and commitment to maximizing each horse’s potential. With a growing reputation on the Mid-Atlantic circuit, he combines old-school horsemanship with a modern edge—making him a rising force and key member of the FRR team.
