Lil Breezy
A gutsy filly with a lot of upside, Lil Breezzy joined the First Rodeo Racing team in via the Keeneland April Auction. Bred in Kentucky by Charles P. Merrick III, she’s by Tapiture, a son of Tapit known for producing tough, durable runners, and out of Summer Place, a Super Saver mare who adds stamina and late kick to the pedigree.
Though she’s still a maiden, Lil Breezzy has already shown potential against strong company, hitting the board in 3 of her first 5 starts and earning nearly $45,000. She’s especially sharp on off tracks, and her tactical style suggests there’s more to come as she continues to mature under trainer Thomas Molloy.
With her consistent work ethic and competitive attitude, Lil Breezzy fits the mold of what First Rodeo Racing looks for in a racehorse: heart, hustle, and room to grow. Keep an eye out—this filly’s just getting started.
